With their extensive experience, particularly in the energy, transportation, financial and construction sector, Co-Managing Partners Loubna Farage and Victoria Andrews bring substantial expertise to the table. The firm has successfully advised investors in both upstream and downstream markets, as well as in major energy and power projects. Notably, Farage Andrews Law Practice played a pivotal role as Transaction Counsel in the electrification project for 41 villages in The Gambia.
The firm has also been instrumental in advising on infrastructure and logistics projects, including its involvement in the Banjul Ports concession and development of Sanyang Deep Sea Ports, where it provided legal and transactional support to stakeholders engaged in the development and operation of port facilities, the Trans-Gambia Bridge funded by the African Development Bank, credit supply agreements on behalf of an international company; as well as the construction and facility agreement for a healthcare facility in The Gambia.
The firm boasts experience as the only firm in The Gambia with appearance as Counsel before the ICSID in Washington, DC and London as co-counsel representing The Gambia from 2009 to 2016.

The Practice acts for a commercial bank and other financial institutions both international and local. Its activities in this area cover all aspects of domestic financial transactions and advice to international institutions on local lending and debt transactions, project financing and debt recoveries.
LITIGATION & ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The practice has extensive experience in all forms of civil, commercial, employment and criminal litigation. It assists in resolving or avoiding potential conflict by employing all forms of alternative dispute resolution including mediation, negotiation and arbitration; however each case is analysed on its merit and the most efficient legal strategy is adopted to obtain the best result for our clients. It has successfully handled and settled major commercial cases. The practice is also involved in international arbitration through its correspondent associate firms.
Projects
The Practice provides strategic legal support to international firms, financial institutions, and development agencies on regulatory compliance, structuring, and local risk mitigation, as well as public-private partnerships. Our role includes conducting due diligence, reviewing and localising transaction documents, advising on permitting and regulatory issues, and liaising with government authorities. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW
The practice deals with registration, representation and protection of inventions, trademarks, patents, licensing agreements, copyright and protection of trade and commercial secrets. We have litigated and/ settled disputes regarding intellectual property issues.
EMPLOYMENT
We are becoming increasingly involved in all aspects of employment and labour relations due to the corporate services provided to clients. We advice our clients on areas such as labour reorganisation, union matters, the development of labour policies, complaint procedures; and employment agreements.
PROPERTY
The practice’s services in this area include the acquisition and disposal of property, financial arrangements for property development, real estate development and management, including residential estates and hotels. We also provide fast and reliable title clearance and handle the required registrations on behalf of our clients.
PUBLIC SECTOR RELATED MATTERS
The practice provides advice to international clients on the Gambian regulatory environment including tax issues, assists in bidding processes and facilitating project implementation.
PRO BONO WORK
Whilst in Sierra Leone Ms Andrews joined L.A.W.Y.E.R.S which is a voluntary organisation made of female lawyers of the bar of Sierra Leone and was the Project Co-ordinator on a Prisons Project looking at women and their rights in prisons with the aim of litigating on cases which have not had proper representation. She also worked as part of a team put together by the Law Reform Commission of Sierra Leone, which investigated and reported on the need for a specific anti-discrimination legislation. Both partners are founding members of Female Lawyers Association – Gambia and have served in various capacities from Secretary General, Vice President, Chairperson and Member of the Publications Committee. Loubna Farage has represented various under privileged members of society, be it women, children or men in all areas of litigation matters.
